Updated: Dec 31, 2022

As you already know, September, 27th, 2022, Free Sound Territories have been presented at the festival BLAUES RAUSCHEN (BLUE NOISE)!

For those who are already familiar with my website and my musical intentions, you may remember that lots of my efforts go into the attempt to answer the question how sounds can freely interact with each other.

One aspect of this freedom may be the choice of place from where sounds are being initiated to meet with each other.

This can be any place of the world, simultaneously!

I called this project:

hypersound touchpoints

What is this about?

hypersound touchpoints are the intersections where sounds connect via the World Wide Web to create a shared experience for all participants, be they the performing sound agents or the listeners who are invited to follow these sound encounters. As in a true hypertext model, a particular sound progression is linked to sequences of other sources through many points of correspondence selected for meaning and musical context. Sound agents from Israel (Tel Aviv), Hungary (Pécs) and Germany (Cologne and Essen) presented now this hyper-linked sound journey set up especially for the BLAUES RAUSCHEN festival with the active participation of the festival audience.

How did it go?

As planned, the event was held at the IRMA GUBLIA GALERIE at 3pm CET and should have lasted for something like an half hour. What we didn't know, we had just such a wonderful audience that after 1 and a half hour we were still busy presenting and answering questions!

Have a look to the trailer (in German) that has been prepared by the local WDR (Westdeutscher Rundfunk) TV station:

Or to a longer footage of the event itself, prepared by my co-author Heinz-Josef Florian. This is the complete event:

Here you can find a summary of it:

For those who couldn’t join, you are invited to have a look at the project here. This will allow you to watch the hypersound touchpoints and even to play with them quite the same way I suggested in my last blog entry about the ‘Algorhythms’ in Interactive Mode using the same browser based ‘screenplayer’ application.

Should there be any problems, questions or suggestions to share, our Free Musical Sound Territories music group is waiting for your entry.
